Assessment
An assessment is the starting point for understanding your child’s communication skills. This involves gathering information about your child's strengths and needs through case history and discussion. Through a mix of observation, play-based activities, conversation, and sometimes structured tasks, I can identify your child’s strengths and any areas that may need support. The assessment helps to create a clear picture of your child’s communication profile and guides the next steps for therapy or further advice.
Therapy
Therapy is designed to help your child develop their communication skills in a way that is engaging, supportive, and tailored to their individual needs. Sessions are based on the goals identified during the assessment and may focus on areas such as speech sounds, understanding and using language, or social communication and interaction. Therapy sessions are interactive and fun, using play, games, and practical activities to keep children motivated and involved. I also provide guidance and strategies for families and educators, so that progress continues beyond the therapy session and makes a lasting difference in your child’s everyday life.
